Japanese Committee on Acoustic Emission (JCAE) was originally organized in 1969 under sponsorship of the High Pressure Institute of Japan and in cooperation with the Japanese Society for Non-Destructive Inspection (JSNDI). In 1979, JCAE became Committee 006 on Acoustic Emission of JSNDI, and currently is called the Ad Hoc Committee on Acoustic Emission. The committee of JSNDI has sponsored biennial international symposia since 1972, and published 20 proceedings of these symposia.

The symposium will be held at the Okinawa Jichikaikan in Naha city. Okinawa Prefecture located at the southern end of Japan is a paradise of eternal summer. Visitors, attracted by the diversified allure of Okinawa, can participate in marine sports in a beautiful ocean filled with world class coral reefs or escape on a tour and come face to face with the magnificence of nature in the forest homes of many rare animals and plants.
Years ago, a kingdom called "Ryukyu" prospered in this land. Today, the remnants of that ancient time still echo in the traditional exotic culture and unique customs of Okinawa that have been passed down through the generations. The customs and culture of this land are particularly popular among visitors. - Call for Papers
- Papers are sought in all areas related to acoustic emission.
Prospective authors are requested to submit a title, author’s names, affiliation and address with an abstract of 100-200 words with keywords (in English, text only) by June 30, 2012 .
The official language of the symposium and the proceedings is English.
Full papers must be received by August 24, 2012. All papers will be reviewed by the paper and program committee. Accepted papers will be delivered orally and will be published in a conference proceedings book.

Student : 30,000 JPY - Note
- Papers would be included in the symposium proceedings, only if the authors have definitely registered and made payment by September 30, 2012.
